Hogback gravestone

Two views of one of the five medieval hogback stones (no 2) found at Govan Old Parish Church.

A hogback stone was laid across the grave and this one, from the early 10th century and over 2 metres in length, has representations of roof tiles across its back and of a mythical beast at each end.
