St Kevin's Primary School

St Kevin's Primary School on Fountainwell Road in Sighthill, 1970s. The school was built in 1894.

St Kevin's is now a primary school for children with moderate learning difficulties. Its catchment area covers all of the districts north of the River Clyde and extends from the east to the west of the city boundary. A centre for autistic children was opened in 2002.

Saint Kevin was an Irish monk who was an aquaintance of Saint Columba and founded a monastery at Glendalough. He is said to have lived to be 120 years old.
