New three-storey Type T1 tenement flats built by Glasgow Corporation Housing Department at Netherplace Road, Pollok, in 1948.
The flats were the first to be built in the post-war period. The narrow close entrance, a feature of traditional tenements, was replaced with a stair at the front of the building leading to a balcony giving access to two flats on each floor. The balcony has enough space for seating or to hold a pram and can be watched from the kitchen. The ground floor houses have three apartments, with four-apartment houses on the upper floors.
Outer walls were originally constructed of light brown pebble-faced blocks and the steel balcony fronts were light blue with red supporting columns. Light cream was used on the steel windows and concrete window surrounds, and also on the front and underside of the concrete balcony.
