Bell's Park

A view from Sauchiehall Street, 1831, looking east to Bell's Park which occupied a large area of ground that is bound today by Cathedral Street, Castle Street and the M8 motorway.

To the right of the cottage a woman has laid cloth out on the ground, presumably to catch the sunlight required for bleaching.
