Michael Kelly was Lord Provost of Glasgow from 1980-84 and Rector of the University from 1983-87. An economist by training, he devised the Glasgow's Miles Better campaign which transformed the image of the city at home and abroad. Now a journalist and broadcaster, he runs his own public relations company specialising in place marketing and public affairs.
