Coloured cartoon from the Northern Looking Glass 9 January 1826 depicting different types of kisses. The four kisses are entitled Stealing, Taking, Giving and Throwing Away. In the first, a young man steals a kiss from a sleeping girl; in the second, a black man (apparently dressed as a footman) appears to be forcing his attentions on a female servant; the third shows a woman eagerly embracing a sailor, and the fourth depicts a pretty young woman wasting her attentions on a grumpy old man.
