St Andrew's Cathedral

St Andrew's Roman Catholic chapel c1821. It became St Andrew's Cathedral in 1889.

It was designed by James Gillespie Graham and built 1814-1817 in Clyde Street, on the north bank of the Clyde. The building is said to have cost more than £13,000 to erect and it was partly funded by small weekly subscriptions collected from the city's growing Catholic population.
