White Horse Bottling Hall, 1940s

The bottling hall at White Horse Distillers' bonded warehouse in Borron Street in Port Dundas, 1940s.

The firm's huge blending vats are in the background on the right. There are bottle-capping machines in the foreground, bottom right. The long benches, where staff sat to attach labels and to wrap the bottles in paper before packing, are equipped with devices for holding bottles while they are inspected for cracks.
