Bell's Bridge, built in 1988 for the Glasgow Garden Festival, has a movable section which opens to allow ships to pass. It is shown opening as the Waverley heads "doon the watter" with a deck full of passengers.
To the right is the Armadillo (more formally known as the Clyde Auditorium), designed by Sir Norman Foster as an extension to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. The building has a main auditorium capable of seating 3,000 people, as well as a smaller auditorium and committee rooms. It opened in 1997 and was an immediate success as a concert and conference venue.
