Filling whisky casks for Chivas Brothers at the Highland Bonding Co's bonded warehouse in Duke Street, 1951.
Chivas Regal was a blend of single malt and grain whiskies, each of which was a minimum of twelve years old. Chivas vatted the Islay, Highland and Lowland malt whiskies separately and warehoused them in casks for up to nine months, and then vatted all three together and returned the vatted malts to casks for a further marrying period before blending the malt whisky with the grain.
