The Dew

The Dew by Margaret Macdonald (1864-1933), beaten tin in a wooden frame.

Macdonald made this relief in 1900 for the Ladies' Luncheon Room at the Ingram Street Tea Rooms. Her husband, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, had been commissioned to decorate a new luncheon room and a billiards room by the owner Kate Cranston, and Macdonald worked with him on the project.
