Mrs William Urquhart c 1815, by Sir Henry Raeburn (1756-1823).
Ann Pattison was the daughter of the town clerk of Leith. She married William Urquhart, a wealthy Glasgow merchant, towards the end of 1812 or the beginning of 1813. Urquhart is described in the Post Office Glasgow Directory of 1811 as a general agent with premises at 80 Trongate.
