Cowlairs Co-operative Society horse-drawn cart, early 20th century. The rear wheel of the cart is "braked" with stones
The cart has been loaded with sacks of coal from the railway trucks just visible behind the horse. The coal came from the Glasgow Coal Co's Daldowie Colliery in Broomhouse, to the east of Glasgow.
