Bernard Rae's Italian ice cream shop in Strathbungo, c 1880s.
The horse and cart in the street may belong to the wright or the slater and plasterer with premises at the rear of the shop. Two small children are holding the horse's reins, probably hoping to earn a few pennies to spend on ice cream or sweeties.
