May Day 1942

A photograph taken in 1942 which is believed to show the May Day march on its arrival at Queen's Park. In the foreground, two men are carrying the banner of the Glasgow branch of the Jewish Socialist Labour Party. Behind them are various other banners, and what looks like a Polish flag. There were reports in local newspapers that many refugees from central and eastern Europe joined the march, some wearing national costume.
