Westmuir Street

A row of small one-story shops at the junction of Westmuir Street and Duke Street in Parkhead in the early 20th century. The shops on Westmuir Street include a fruit and vegetable shop, a hairdressers and W Kennedy, boot makers and repairers (soon to move around the corner to premises in Duke Street, after thirty-four years in business). The overhead wires for the electric trams are clearly visible at the top of the image.
