A De Havilland Dragon Rapide at Renfrew Airport in the 1930s.

The Rapide was a wood and fabric biplane with a 48 feet wing span. It cruised at 132 mph, had a range of 578 miles and could carry up to eight passengers. Northern & Scottish Airways had four Rapides in their fleet, along with five Spartan Cruisers.
