The cover of the Argyll Motor Cars catalogue for 1905.
This catalogue introduced the 20-24 HP Argyll car to the public. It was Argyll's top-of-the-range car, and at a price of £700 it cost twice as much as the most basic model. Argyll had won the gold medal in the prestigeous Scottish Automobile Club reliability trials in 1904 and broken a number of speed records. Such achievements provided the firm with excellent publicity and helped persuade motorists to invest in its new and more expensive motor cars.
