A message written in the visitor book at the Hyde Park Locomotive Works by the Chinese Ambassador in 1896.
Hyde Park Locomotive Works was in Springburn. 1896 the Chinese Ambassador Li Hong Chang visited the works and left this message - "The Chinese Ambassador, Grand Secretary, Earl, Li Hong Chang made a tour in England. Written at the Hyde Park Locomotive works, Glasgow at the age of 74".
Glasgow locomotives were world famous and exported across the globe.
