Knightswood bus depot canteen

The canteen at Knightswood bus depot, 1960s.

Both during and after the Second World War Glasgow Corporation Transport had great trouble recruiting staff. Immigration to Glasgow from Asia grew steadily in the post-war period, and the Transport Department was one of the earliest employers to offer work to the newcomers.
