The University of Glasgow's Boyd Orr Building looking south-west, 1975.
The Modern Languages Building and a part of the Queen Margaret Union (right) are in the foreground, opposite the distinctive three-section reinforced concrete Mathematics Building on the south side of University Gardens. The Boyd Orr Building towers above them and the new five-storey Glasgow Western Infirmary residences to the south.
Some of the buildings of Glasgow Western Infirmary are to the left of the picture. Behind them, in the distance, is the bulk of the Meadowside Granaries that were demolished in 2002.
