Laboratory 4 in the Geology Department on the University of Glasgow's Gilbert Scott Building, 1976.
The new University buildings on Gilmorehill provided greatly improved teaching facilities to those that had been available at the Old College on the High Street, providing spacious classrooms, lecture theatres and laboratories. The room in this picture still has the original long wooden workbenches, but is equipped with more modern appliances such as a slide projector. The front of Wellington Church on University Avenue can be seen through the window on the right of the picture.
