Advertisement in Glasgow University Magazine 30 April 1924 for Rowan & Co's tennis wear. The company stocked all manner of sports attire, for tennis, cricket, golf, and boating, and became an officially appointed outfitter to the Glasgow University Athletic Club.
Tennis began to appeal to a mass audience in the 1920s. The Wimbledon Championships attracted huge popular interest and tennis wear became fashionable as well as practical.
