Allan & Ferguson's view (1843) of Glasgow Bridge from the south side of the River.

The path running down to the old ford at the north end of the bridge is depicted clearly, and the Merchants' Steeple rises above the scene in the background. A man is exercising or watering horses in the river in the foreground.
