W R Mainds' watercolour sketch of a backcourt at 247 High Street, 1891. A cask, cart and a wheelbarrow suggest there may have been a tradesman's premises in one of the backcourt buildings, and there is washing hanging from the clothes pole outside the upper window on the right.
