A Thomas Annan photograph of a portrait of Andrew Stephenson Dalglish (1793-1858). The painting was by John Graham Gilbert.
Dalglish was the elder son of Robert Dalglish, a calico printer and a Lord Provost 1830-1832. He campaigned to have the statue of the Duke of Wellington erected in front of the Royal Exchange in Queen Street. His brother Robert (1808-1880) was a Glasgow MP.
Andrew died at Hillhead House.
