A Thomas Annan photograph of a portrait of William Church (1783-1862). The painting was by Sir Daniel Macnee.

Church was a merchant and manufacturer in Glasgow between 1808 and his death in 1862. In 1841 his firm, William Church & Co, was located in premises in Exchange Court off Queen Street .
