A Thomas Annan photograph of a portrait of John Campbell of Possil (fl 1740s-1790s). The painting was by Sir Henry Raeburn.

Campbell was the son of a captain in the Black Watch who became a sugar and cotton merchant and founded of John Campbell Snr & Co.
