A Thomas Annan photograph of a portrait of Gavin Struthers. The painting was by John Graham-Gilbert and appeared in an 1868 exhibition of portraits of significant Glasgow figures.
Struthers (d 1858) was minister of Anderston Relief Church (UP from 1847) 1819-1858 and was Moderator at the United Presbyterian Church's second synod in 1848. He was the author of the The History of the Rise, Progress, and Principles of the Relief Church, 1843.
