Newark Drive, 1920

Newark Drive, 1920

This postcard, which dates from 1920, is wrongly captioned and should read Newark Drive and Olrig Terrace.

The road leading off to the right of the image is Nithsdale Road and the street which continues south into the distance, centre, is Shields Road. The row of tenements to the left of the postcard and facing the camera is on the southern side of Newark Drive, which crosses Shields Road at this point. The houses behind the gate on the right belong to Olrig Terrace.
