Summerton School

Summerton School for Physically and Mentally Handicapped Children on Hinshelwood Drive in Ibrox, 1970s.

Summerton Public School was built for the Govan Parish School Board and opened in 1909. It became Summerton Special School in 1923 and in 1949 changed its name again to Summerton School for Physically and Mentally Handicapped Children.

The building no longer exists at the beginning of the 21st century.
