"The Storm On The Paisley Canal", a song preserved in a scrapbook entitled Old Glasgow Street Songs etc, 1850 which is held at the Mitchell Library.
This comic song is about a weaver who takes his girlfriend for a Hogmanay trip along the Glasgow, Paisley and Ardrossan Canal, but loses her to the ship's captain after they are shipwrecked and separated in a storm.
