The Cowcaddens Barber

"The Cowcaddens Barber", a song preserved in a scrapbook entitled Old Glasgow Street Songs etc, 1850 which is held at the Mitchell Library.

This song is about an eccentric hunchback barber from Cowcaddens and the "pomatum... made by himself from the tails of black rats/mixed up into paste with the tallow from cats."
