"The Calton Barber", a song by Daniel Norris which has been preserved in a scrapbook entitled Old Glasgow Street Songs etc, 1850, held at the Mitchell Library.
This song is about a physically deformed barber from the Calton. His appearance was so fearsome that the mere sight of him was enough to scare off the Grim Reaper.
