"The Glasgow Chappie", a song preserved in a scrapbook entitled Old Glasgow Street Songs etc, 1850 which is held at the Mitchell Library.
The song is about a Glaswegian who sails to Liverpool with some buns and a bottle of whisky for sustenance, and his subsequent adventures in a Manchester inn. Hurrah for a spree!
