The fireboat St Mungo at Jamaica Street Bridge.
This photograph was taken in 1959, the year the vessel was launched, and shows some of the deck fittings. Four of the fireboat's hoses or monitors can be seen on the upper deck.
As well as fighting fires on the river and the river bank, the St Mungo could supply up to twenty onshore fire appliances with water from the Clyde.
