The City of Glasgow Swimming Team photographed after retaining their trophy in the annual City of Glasgow - Mainz competition of that year. Forty-six youngsters travelled to Germany for the competition with the City Council contributing £25 to every child's travel expenses.
The event was held over the 27 and 28 September and attracted 550 competitors from six countries.
