Old People's Cottages

These old people's cottages in Queen's Drive were built by Glasgow Corporation around 1960. Set in a mixed landscape on the edge of Queen's Park, they were designed to take account of the needs of the elderly.

The scheme won two awards: a Festival of Britain Award for Achievement of Merit in Civic and Landscape Design, and a Saltire Society honourable mention for the development of the surroundings.
