Springfield Chair Co

The front cover of the 1920-1921 trade catalogue produced by the Springfield Chair Co to advertise products made at their factory in Millerfield Road, Dalmarnock. The premises were said to to include a large and well-equipped stove, in addition to open-air drying sheds, to ensure timber could be thoroughly seasoned.

Hardwood birch was the favoured wood, except for a few lines which required oak. Products could be stained and polished to customers' requirements, in self-colour, walnut, mahogany, Chippendale, fumed oak or Jacobean shades.

In addition to chairs, the company made many types of wooden furniture including tables, hall stands, commodes, cots and desks.
