Crowds make their way along the High Street at the Glasgow Garden Festival in 1988.
The High Street was lined by a number of small shop units and the Festival site was designed so that visitors would pass along the street and hopefully visit some of the shops both when entering and leaving the Festival. There were also several restaurants and cafes. The brighly coloured scaffolding above the shops represented some of Glasgow's famous buildings, such as the University tower and Trinity College.
