The first Glasgow directory was published in 1783 by John Tait. This image is taken from a facsimile reprint published in 1871 by Robert Forrester.
Page 12 is the final page of the classified listings. After completing the list of physicians, it lists midwives and "estengers at Arms" (probably messengers-at-arms, court officers who served legal documents and enforced court orders).
