The first Glasgow directory was published in 1783 by John Tait. This image is taken from a facsimile reprint published in 1871 by Robert Forrester.
The second page of text, numbered page 5, completes the list of town councillors, lists eighteen ministers with their churches, and begins a list of professors at the University of Glasgow.
