International Exhibition, 1888

One third of the exhibitors at the International Exhibition of 1888 came from beyond Scotland. The majority of these were from England, with London providing the largerst number, followed by Lancashire and Yorkshire.

The stand of Thomas Pavitt & Sons of London was intended to promote their range of painters' and artists' brushes, and enamel paints for house and ship decorations. Their "Ardenbrite" brand of paints was particularly popular in Victorian households.
