Charles Ingram was a gun maker and rifle marksman.
Ingram set up a gun making business in Glasgow in 1832. His weapons enjoyed a high reputation throughout Scotland and beyond. "Old Charley" as he was known, was also a highly respected marksman, a regular attender at rifle meetings and a frequent prizewinner. He held the post of armourer with the West of Scotland Rifle Association for many years.
