Edward Scott (1825-1887) was a shoe manufacturer and councillor.

Scott came to Glasgow from London to work for Wylie & Lochhead. With his brother Samuel he formed E & S Scott to open a shoe shop in Jamaica Street and then a shoe factory in the Gorbals manufacturing cheap boots and shoes. He was a police commissioner in Hillhead before serving on Glasgow's Town Council 1871-1880 and 1882.
