Old Shiels Farm c 1830. A man and boy are in the foreground, in front of the farm buildings and hayricks. The large dog to the left of centre is a scrap attached to the picture at a later date.
The farm is believed to have been situated in the area between the modern-day Shields Road Underground Station and Pollokshields.
This watercolour is one of a series painted by an unknown artist which depict scenes on the Pollok Estate.
