"Film star hair cuts" in Fusco's Barber's Shop, Cambridge Street, 1955. The shop window displays photographs of glamorous Hollywood stars such as Frank Sinatra and Burt Lancaster alongside a notice proclaiming that Fusco's provides "the styles of the world" and "the styles of today". There are also advertisements for Brylcreem, for Fusco's "Graduate Cut" and for "blow shaping", which was a novelty for men!
Fusco's Hairdressers continues to cut hair in Cambridge Street, for men and women, in 2004.
In 1955 Partick Camera Club set out to create a photographic survey of Glasgow. As the project progressed, other camera clubs joined and each was allocated a district of the city to photograph. Glasgow Museums exhibited the photographs at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and at the People's Place, and in 1956 the exhibition was shown at the Palace of Art in Bellahouston Park. The photographs are now part of Glasgow Museums' collections.
