Corner of London Road

The corner of London Road and Abercrombie Street in Calton, c 1900.

A wee boy and his dad are looking longingly though the window of the Italian ice cream shop, which has a fancy exterior with decorative marbled pillars. Next door is Forrest the watchmaker. Advertising for A Gardiner, painter and decorator, can be seen on the gable end of the building. Tram tracks run up the middle of London Road.
