A woman is sitting at the foot of the stairs enjoying the sunshine that has penetrated the grey smog, while her children play in the street. Another child lies in a doorway behind. In the distance, two chickens are searching for something to eat among the cobbles as a couple of women swathed in shawls approach with a fourth child.
