An example of "Rude" behaviour aboard a Glasgow tram car, illustrated in Tramway Car Sketches by J N, 1889. Attractive young women, especially those travelling alone, often attracted the unwanted attentions of older men. The press of the day referred frequently to the problem of such caddish behaviour on trams as well as in railway carriages.
